Billing and Insurance Options

We are in network with:

  • Delta Premier (including retired military)
  • United Healthcare PPO
  • CareFirst Traditional (DT only, not DP)
  • BCBS Federal (104/105 & 111-112 plans)
  • Cigna DPPO/Total DPPO (not Advantage)
  • Metlife PPO
  • Tricare Dental Program

                         
We will gladly accept any other PPO insurance but we are not in network with them if they are not on the list above. This means that the copays could be a little higher than going to an in-network dentist because no adjustments are made to the discounted in-network rate. In some cases there may not be much of a difference between what you pay for the care you receive at Gentle Family Dentistry versus what you would pay at a different dental practice that is in-network.
 
If you have a PPO plan that is not on the list above and you have out of network benefits available, we will accept that insurance.
 
Please note that we obtain insurance benefits and file claims as a courtesy. We recommend that patients become familiar with their insurance benefits. Your plan is a contract between you and your insurance company, we are not a party to that contract. Any co-pay quoted is only an estimate based on information given to us by your insurance company. Patients are responsible for any amount not paid by your insurance. We do not make adjustments to our work unless required to do so by an in-network insurance company.
 
All co-payments and/or deductibles are due the same day you receive the treatment. We accept cash, check, American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Discover Card. We also recommend Care Credit and beWell to help with your financing. 

In addition, we have recently begun an In-House Dental Savings Plan. It is not dental insurance, and it is only good for services at Gentle Family Dentistry. Click here for more information, details, exclusions and limitations.
